Regarding "Austin Meets Rob Paulsen" on YouTube
I've been receiving a LOT of negative comments on this video.
Here's what you need to know:
This video was taken on Saturday. Rob Paulsen's voice acting panel (which I did indeed attend) was on a Sunday.
People say that Rob looked irritated. You'd be irritated too if you had to sit in one spot for 2 hours and sign autographs for everyone.
I can safely say he wasn't irritated because i did my voices. And yes, I saw his expressions. He's got that "Why am I doing this when I could be in the studio?" look.
And most people are right. Rob's not going to come back. Not because of us fans, but because he can't dedicate his time to go to a single convention. He needs to work to make money.
I'm pretty sure Anthrocon paid Mr. Paulsen a pretty penny (not in the literal sense, mind you.) to come out and be our Guest of Honor, and we thank him for coming out to spend time with us, but there is no chance in hell he's coming back to be with us for free.
So to all those who left comments, negative and positive: I appreciate your feedback, and I hope what I had to say in this LiveJournal post made some sense in this mixed up world. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the man, and a handful of 2800+ fans took the opportunity.
Others missed out. And I apologize to those who never got to see him.
Also, I'm screening comments both on here and on YouTube. There is an amendment in the Bill of Rights that calls for freedom of speech. Free speech is only free if it is not hurting anyone.
Unfortunately, some of the comments made on YouTube hurt me. So I deleted them.
My words still remain intact...If you have nothing good to say, don't say it at all.
That's all I have to say. I had a good time, and I hope you all did too.
TTYL.
